Chval Castle Welcomes You to the St. Ludmilla Pilgrimage

On Sunday, September 14, at Chvalský zámek in Prague, you and your children can take part in St. Ludmila’s Pilgrimage, which promises a full day packed with fun activities. This pilgrimage is a highly anticipated event in Upper Bohemia and features a diverse cultural program filled with moments of reflection, happiness, and community spirit. What can you look forward to this year? The organizers have a special surprise – they have invited several small microbreweries that will offer a variety of unique beers for you to try!
As in previous years, you can expect to find food stalls serving a mix of delicious homemade snacks, both sweet and savory, along with offerings of bourbon, wine, handcrafted items, and classic fair attractions. There will also be fun games for kids, a wooden hand-driven carousel, as well as jugglers and musicians! From the additional activities planned, you can go to the courtyard of Chval Castle, where Theatre U Plotny will perform the beloved fairy tale The Three Little Goats starting at 1 PM. In the parish garden, from 2 PM to 5 PM, get ready for a fun-filled afternoon with games and inflatables. Children can also enjoy medieval games at Chvalská Fortress from noon until 5 PM.
The pilgrimage wraps up at 6 PM, but you can extend your stay and enjoy live concerts starting at 10 PM featuring bands from Počernice, including Second Sunday and Eccentric Rock, who mostly hail from Horní Počernice. The headliner for the night is the band A While, which performs their own original music in the progressive rock genre. This band features well-known musicians, with vocalist Milos Horak also serving as a soloist for the National Theatre Opera. Entry to the event is free.
