Discover Moravia’s Largest Ceramics Market

The Pottery Fair in Kunštát, located near Blansko, has established its notable spot on the calendar over the past 30 years, always taking place in the latter half of September.
This year, King George Square will transform into a lively Marketplace on 20 and 21 September 2025, featuring an auditorium and stage. The craft exhibition will showcase an abundance of shapes and glazes on both functional and decorative ceramics. Artists will create a delightful atmosphere throughout the fair days, ensuring that everyone finds something enjoyable in the diverse cultural program.
You can look forward to a traditional showcase of ceramic products, witness ceramic firing demonstrations, and even try your hand at the pottery wheel together with the kids, as well as participate in an art workshop.
Join us in supporting the craft of ceramics, an art that should continue to thrive. Entry to the Pottery Fair costs 200 CZK for adults, while children and people with disabilities pay 50 CZK (seniors and families do not receive any discounts).
Cave of the Knights of the Blanic, Castle Dog Cemetery, or Masaryk’s Shoes: Discover Kunštát’s Unique Attractions
You can choose to immerse yourself in pottery at the Pottery Market, or you can also explore the intriguing tourist attractions in Kunštát and its surroundings. You’re encouraged to visit places like the impressive Kunštát Chateau, the scenic Burian’s Lookout Tower on Milenka Hill, or the unique Cave of the Blanic Knights located in Rudka near Kunštát. This cave was once home to a remarkable 14-meter statue of T. G. Masaryk during the First Republic, which unfortunately was lost during the Nazi occupation… thankfully, the president’s shoes have survived to this day.
When in Kunštát, don’t forget to explore the local castle, which dates back to the 13th century and is among the oldest castles in Moravia. It offers not only stunning interiors but also features two rare attractions – the oldest inlaid parquet in Central Europe and a historic dog cemetery situated nearby the castle, established around 1890. This cemetery is notably one of the earliest of its kind in all of Europe.
