Experience the Excitement of Tour de Burčák: Your Ultimate Wine Trail Adventure in Znojmo
As part of the exciting cycling-tourism-wine series called The Wine Region 2025, another great event is happening that will guide cyclists and walkers through the beautiful, autumn-drenched vineyards of Znojmo: Tour de burčák along the wine trails of Znojmo. There are two different routes available for cyclists and one for those who prefer to walk, featuring stops at wine cellars and right in the vineyards where you can taste local wines and fresh bourbon. Near the historic town of Znojmo, you will discover new and untouched cycle paths and routes that explore every corner of the area.
This event is designed for everyone—general public, active individuals, and families with kids. Just come over on Saturday, September 20. between 9 and 11 in the morning at the registration area in Znojmo, located on the grounds of the Louka Monastery. This well-known wine hub of Znovín Znojmo will also feature an accompanying cultural and folklore program, with local specialties alongside fresh bourbon and wine. The event wraps up with a prize drawing back at the same location at 5 p.m. You stand a chance to win exciting prizes – like top-quality wines from the region, a getaway in a certified establishment welcoming cyclists, or useful cycling gear and accessories from Moravian Wine Trails.
The entry package costs 250 CZK if purchased in advance (290 CZK on the day of the event). This package includes a tasting glass with a carrier and a starting passport (you can enter this in the final raffle for prizes), along with a map and program for the day. After you buy or pick up your starting package in Znojmo (between 9 and 11 a.m.), you’ll embark on your journey, either by bike or on foot, along the marked route. Throughout the route, you’ll encounter stamping points located in traditional wine cellars or at popular tourist sites, where you can collect stamps in your starting passport. Refreshments can be bought directly on-site from the vendors.
