Set Sail on a Steamboat to Mělník

The steamer, named Vltava, will set sail on Sunday September 21, 2025, at 7 a.m. from the PPS dock located at Rašínovo nábřeží in Prague. The return trip is expected to be after 10 pm on the same night. If the starting point or timing doesn’t work for you, you can join the trip at different stops, which typically include Troja, Roztoky, and Kralupy nad Vltavou.

As we cruise along during the day towards the place where the two largest Czech rivers meet at Miller, be prepared to take in some truly stunning views. You’ll encounter beautiful sights including locks, the magnificent Nelahozeves Castle, the iconic Říp Mountain, and the lovely town of Mělník itself. And don’t worry, there will be refreshments served on board to enjoy.

You can look down into this well while touring the Mělník underground. Another unique feature you shouldn’t overlook is the ossuary found in the crypt of the Church of St. Peter and Paul.
