Indulge in Flavor: Discover Goose Liver and Bread with Goose Fat
The park area next to the Chateau Greenhouse will host the Goose Festival both days, showcasing a folk crafts market. Here, you can enjoy tasty refreshments and a wide range of products linked to traditional crafts and the season, especially geese. Some of the food options available include goose liver Foie Gras, gourmet dishes by Filip Töpfer, tender plucked goose meat, delicious foie gras burgers, bread with goose fat and pâté. Also featured are unique items like pottery, minerals, wool products, handmade soaps, craftsmanship in jewelry, basket making, candles, and lovely flower arrangements, among others.
This weekend, Boskovice restaurants will be offering special goose and duck dishes alongside their usual menus, while at the Castle Greenhouse, converted to a restaurant, diners can enjoy a cafeteria-style menu.
Cultural and Entertainment Programme of the Goose Festival
Children can enjoy “Goose” days filled with enchanting theatre performances, alongside art and juggling workshops, as well as themed goose workshops. Additionally, the well-loved Comedians on a Cart will entertain. For adults, there is a series of concerts featuring Lenka Filipová, the band Botox, Deychey, Shall we fly?, Annabelle, and the Cimbálle Music of Jožka Imrich, among many others. Expect to see cooking shows with chefs Jaroslav Sapík and Petr Hajný.
Outside the Museum of the Boskovice Region, an exhibition showcasing historical agricultural tools will be available on Saturday and Sunday, along with a delightful display for animal lovers featuring breeders of small animals in the castle park. Visitors are also welcome to explore Boskovice Castle, where the Goose Trail permanent exhibition will be open free of charge during the Goose Feast on both days.
One-day admission to the Goose Festival is priced at 180 CZK for adults, and 120 CZK for children aged between 3 and 15 years, including discounts for ZTP and ZTP/P (applicable to companions as well).
