Each autumn, the Hradec Králové Zoo provides this unique experience, and on Saturday, October 25, as part of the annual Ghost Week, ghosts will take over the zoo until Sunday, November 2nd. Throughout the week, expect a lively pumpkin program where the pumpkins will entertain visitors and even feed the animals, featuring events like the Haunted Parade of Lights and the Haunted Trail.
And what about other zoos holding Halloween events? On Saturday October 25, the Olomouc Zoo will present An Evening of Ghosts. The charming autumn setting, festive Halloween decorations, and delicious treats will make this a memorable event. Visitors can enjoy witches’ punch and delightful snacks, alongside costumed zoo staff, a haunted casino, and the Miss Dread contest, with the Trail of Terror opening at 6 p.m.
From Saturday, October 25 to Wednesday, October 29, the Zlín Zoo will be in celebration mode for Halloween. The zone from the main entrance to the Limpopo restaurant will be adorned with unique “ghost” decorations, and the Haunted Zoo event at the Liberec Zoo will be held from October 25 to 26, featuring chilling sounds in the zoo during both nights. Additionally, Zoo Děčín will host an interactive habitat competition for the entire autumn break.
Holiday Excitement at the Castle
Enter a Fairytale this autumn holiday beginning on Saturday, October 25 through Wednesday, October 29 at Stary Hrady, a place where dragons dwell. Here, mythical creatures like rock, fire, water, and forest dragons coexist with dragon princesses and brave knights, along with kings, queens, and wizards.
For those who have a sweet tooth and love chocolate, make sure to check out the holiday Chocolate Tours at Loučín Castle, happening daily from October 25 to 29. On Friday, October 31, there will be a special Halloween event at Bruntál Castle, featuring spooky tours of the castle displays, along with fun challenges in the castle cellar and courtyard designed for thrill-seekers and those who enjoy a scare.
