Discover the Enchanting History of Český Šternberk Castle

This year, on the weekend of October 18 and 19, 2025, the guides at Český Šternberk Castle will wear historical costumes and offer small theatrical performances in different rooms, sharing stories about the castle’s history and the Sternberg family. This event is part of the traditional Wandering through Sternberg History. The engaging, costumed tours take you through the ancient castle’s rich history, spanning from the Renaissance to the early 20th century, and even into the present day. With the guide’s help, you will meet important and everyday characters from Sternberg’s past dating back to the 15th century and beyond.
Each Wandering offers a unique experience, and this year you can expect to meet both notable and everyday figures from Sternberg’s history that you haven’t encountered before. In the castle courtyard, there will be a mini-fair, where local artisans will showcase their handmade goods. The Castle Café will be open, tempting you with a variety of treats, and nearby, the encampment of the Soldiers of the Grenadier and Artillery Regiment Kaiser Ir1 Brno will be set up behind the castle by the hunger room.
Due to high demand for the tours, it’s a good idea to purchase your tickets online in advance or to make a reservation. The tour ticket prices are 300 CZK for adults, 250 CZK for students and seniors, and just 150 CZK for children aged 15 and under.
