Service Excellence and Local Character

The MICHELIN Guide has revealed plans for its inaugural global MICHELIN Key Selection, set to debut in October 2025. This new rating system will evaluate hotels around the globe in a way akin to how MICHELIN Stars rate restaurants, with a primary focus on criteria such as service quality, uniqueness, atmosphere, and authenticity. Anonymous inspectors will not only assess the comfort and facilities of each hotel but will also consider how effectively it embodies the essence of its locale.
The awards are classified into the following categories:
-
One Key – indicating an exceptional stay that surpasses local benchmarks.
-
Two Keys – representing a remarkable hotel that is worth the journey.
-
Three Keys – denoting a prestigious hospitality landmark, providing an unforgettable experience.
