Czechia Celebrates Its First MICHELIN Key Award Hotels: Discover Excellence Beyond Prague!

MICHELIN Key confirms the growing level of Czech hospitality
The MICHELIN Guide has launched a new hotel rating system called MICHELIN Key worldwide in 2024. This unique concept, introduced in Czechia from October 2025, highlights the increasing standards of the Czech hospitality industry.
Hotels in the MICHELIN Guide undergo a thorough evaluation that highlights authenticity, distinctiveness, location, service quality, and overall guest experience. The focus isn’t just on accommodation and dining, but also on how a hotel creates a memorable atmosphere for its guests.
Currently, in Czechia, there are more than ten hotels that have received the MICHELIN Key award. The prestigious Fairmont Golden Prague Hotel has been awarded two keys, while others like Hotel BoHo Prague, Hotel Julius Prague, Hotel Four Seasons Prague, Augustine, The Luxury Collection, Hotel Andaz Prague, Mosaic House Design Hotel, and Almanac X Alcron Prague each received one key. Notably, the Chateau Mcely, Hotel Perk in Sumperk, and Villa Julius & Emma in Karlovy Vary are also among the winners.
Czechia is worth exploring in every way
The MICHELIN Key bridges cities and regions, showcasing that exceptional accommodations are available not just in the capital but throughout the entire country. This diversity highlights the continuous growth in both the quality and range of the Czech hospitality sector.
“It’s wonderful to see hotels across our beautiful country receiving the MICHELIN Key awards. This confirms that Czechia is a destination worth exploring – not just for its remarkable gastronomy, but also for its outstanding lodgings where guests truly feel at home. Hotels with the MICHELIN key demonstrate that even smaller towns and regions can offer world-class hospitality,” says František Reismüller, Director of the Czech Tourist Authority – CzechTourism.
Keys of quality – three levels of exceptional experience
The MICHELIN Key recognizes hotels that provide extraordinary experiences that go above and beyond conventional standards. Just like restaurants, hotels can earn one to three keys that signify their level of excellence.
Quality and experiences that go beyond borders
The MICHELIN Key award reaffirms that the Czech tourism industry is built on a solid foundation of quality and professionalism. Coupled with natural hospitality, careful attention to detail, and the high standards of domestic design, it creates a unique experience that entices visitors from around the globe. The Czech Republic is increasingly seen as a destination where great gastronomy, outstanding hotels, and authentic experiences harmoniously coexist, making guests feel genuinely welcomed.
