Hubert Festival Coming to Plumlov
On Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 1:30 p.m., the sounds of trumpets and hunting calls will echo through Plumlov Castle and its courtyard – this marks the start of the delightful Hubert Festival. The event will offer a variety of entertainment including music from the band Hubertus, performances by trumpeters from VLS, a parade featuring hunting dogs, demonstrations of luring game, hunting signals, booths with a Slovak theme, archery by the Kirri archers, and exhibitions showcasing several birds and owls. You can also experience a historical hunting camp or enjoy horseback rides.
Children will have the chance to participate in small item competitions, play in a bouncy castle, visit a forest education booth, and take part in a science quiz. Food enthusiasts will delight in a wide variety of dishes inspired by hunting cuisine, such as grilled boar, venison goulash, spit-roasted meats, and tasty schnitzels. For beverages, attendees can savor mulled wine, beer, and other treats. The festival kicks off at 1:30 p.m. in the castle courtyard, and St. Hubert’s Mass will take place at 3:00 p.m., enhanced by the sound of trumpeters.
