Escape Boredom with the Perfect Sunday Adventure to the Adršpach Rocks!

Some of the most well-known rock formations are called Sugar Loaf, Pitcher, and Lovers, which is the tallest and most recognizable sculpture in the entire rock town. Another highlight in this area is The Great Waterfall, which plunges into the rocky gorges from a height of sixteen meters. Don’t forget to take a boat ride on the romantic lake nestled among the rocks; it is available until the end of October. The climb to the pond via metal ladders requires some physical effort, but you’ll be glad you did it. A humorous ferryman will guide you around the lake. Off the main tourist path, you can visit the ruins of Adršpach Castle, which is particularly recommended for its stunning view of the surrounding rock formations. The rock town is open every day from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and admission fees are 230 CZK (180 CZK if you purchase tickets online).

After navigating through the rock maze, make sure to stop by the local castle, where a mountaineering museum awaits you. Within the museum, you’ll find various photographs, documents from history, and climbing gear used on sandstone rocks. You can also learn about the evolution of different climbing techniques, equipment, saddles, and shoes. The castle is accessible daily, except for Mondays, from 10:00 to 17:00, with an entrance fee of 100 CZK.
