Prague Sounds Festival: Your Ultimate Escape from Boredom with the Hottest Music Across All Genres!
This year, the festival named Prague Sounds, which used to be called Strings of Autumn, is happening from 1. to 19 November 2025. This event will showcase several international stars who represent various genres of modern and captivating music, including electronica, jazz, contemporary music, and hip hop.
Two concerts will kick off the festival, promising extraordinary musical experiences. On 1 November, you can enjoy a performance by the delicate yet passionate Mexican singer-songwriter Silvana Estrada. Following that, on November 3, there will be a heartfelt tribute to one of the most significant figures in electronic music, Ryuichi Sakamoto, featuring his former partners, audiovisual artist Alva Nota and guitarist and producer Fennesz. Additionally, the event will showcase Arooj Aftab, a singer who fuses Pakistani music with jazz, alongside the renowned jazz vocalist Cécile McLorin Salvan.
Prague Sounds will also present the American percussion ensemble Sō Percussion, alongside innovative composer and singer Caroline Shaw. An extraordinary audiovisual experience will be delivered by the musical innovator Oneohtrix Point Never. Kurt Wagner, the lead of the legendary band Lambchop, will share the band’s works in an intimate way, accompanied solely by pianist Andrew Broder.
Nate Smith, a highly respected and influential drummer in the jazz world, will bring his quartet to Prague, featuring bassist Michael League from Snarky Puppy as part of his solo project. The festival will also spotlight emerging talents in contemporary British hip hop, highlighted by Trinidadian-born Berwyn. He will be supported by the energetic jazz ensemble from Berlin known as the Moses Yoofee Trio.
The evening titled Choice, curated by Czech rapper and producer Idea, will showcase a selection of thirty artists. The highlight of the evening will feature the band Champion Sound, which will perform with a large ensemble, including the brass KYX Orchestra and the string section Unique Strings. This special occasion marks the first live performance of their debut album Stash Box. Additionally, well-known figures like MCs James Cole, Rest, and MC Rene from Berlin will also join in. Alongside this impressive line-up, the Idea’s Choice evening will present local discoveries, including Brno’s Laokoon, as well as guests Blue Uandi, Slav, Fæ Bestia, and BoLs/sLoB. Idea himself will take the stage along with both Champion Sound and Laokoon.
