If you’re in the mood for a pleasant walk without heading too far, consider visiting the Troy Botanical Garden. You can take a relaxing walk through the garden right now and soak up the beautiful autumn atmosphere filled with bright trees and colorful autumn fruits. Make sure to check out the Japanese garden, which is especially delightful during this season.
As we move into winter, the Botanical Garden will adjust its hours of operation. The new hours will be from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.. Additionally, there will no longer be free admission during winter. The entry fee will be 180 CZK for adults, while seniors, students, and disabled individuals will pay 120 CZK.
Exciting November events at the Troja Botanical Garden
This season, the Botanical Garden is gearing up for its popular evening guided walks through the dimmed spaces of the Fata Morgana Greenhouse, titled The Jungle That Doesn’t Sleep. Visiting the exhibition at night provides a uniquely different experience compared to visiting during the day. Here, some plants bloom in the dark and release mesmerizing fragrances, while the sounds of tropical frogs fill the greenhouse. Tours will be available starting November 14, 2025 every Friday and Saturday. Please remember to reserve your spot by filling out a straightforward form on the Botanical Garden’s website, and buy an online ticket for your chosen time.
The exciting winter season will also feature Sunday guided tours about wine production. You can look forward to an insightful guided tour of the vineyard and the cellar, concluding with a little wine tasting. It’s a great opportunity to see where the local grapes are processed and to taste wines crafted entirely in the Troja Botanical Garden! The key varieties include Riesling and Pinot Noir. These tours take place every Sunday at 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM, with the meeting point and start of the tour at The Blacksmith’s Shop ticket office located on Trojská Street.
On Tuesday, November 11 2025, at 11:00 a.m., you’re also invited to join us for St. Martin’s toast! We will enjoy mainly local wines from the 2025 harvest and explore how they’ve turned out (current selections):
– St. Martin’s early Veltliner red 2025
– St. Martin’s Day Müller Thurgau 2025
– St. Martin’s Day Zweigeltrebe rosé 2025
– Smatomartinské Muscat of Moravia 2025
– Svatomartinské Modrý Portugal 2025
St. Martin’s wines are the first offerings of the new vintage. They are fresh and fruity wines that have matured for only a few weeks, but they already possess their unique characteristics. Winemakers suggest enjoying these young wines before Easter, as they will maintain their delightful freshness until then. Be sure to check out the beautiful autumn colors in the vineyards!
New installations and light displays will illuminate the Crystal Garden in Troja, along with live music
The exhibition Crystal Garden will be open from November 28, 2025, to February 15, 2026, and it will be the main attraction of the Botanical Garden’s winter program. You can visit it during the day from Monday to Sunday, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. The evening illuminated exhibition will be available from Thursday through Sunday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The Botanical Gardens will have two entrances open for evening visits to the exhibition – one on Nádvorní Street and the other at the Forge ticket office.
This unique exhibition showcases the work of the renowned glassmaker Jiří Pačink and his team. Their artistic creations will brighten both the winter outdoor exhibitions and the exhibition hall of the Botanical Garden, merging the delicate beauty of glass artistry with the living world of plants. Expect to see popular sculptures that drew the most attention from visitors last year, along with new creations. Glass installations will also be exhibited, designed by winners of a competition from students of the Secondary School of Glass Arts in Kamenický Šenov. This remarkable art will be brought to life by a special musical performance from the orchestra Prague Philharmonia. The evening program will consist of a stunning audiovisual art project developed in partnership with the Botanical Garden and UMPRUM in Prague.
Admission for the evening tours will be the same as the regular admission price to the Botanical Garden: adults will pay 180 CZK, while children aged 3 to 15 will enjoy a reduced ticket price of 120 CZK. Seniors over the age of 60 will pay just 95 CZK. The Botanical Garden is also organizing guided tours through the exhibition, led by both local guides and glassmaker Jiří Pačink himself. Small creations and decorations from the Pačinek Glass workshop will also be available for purchase.
