Tanvaldský Špičák Ski Resort

In the Jizera Mountains at Tanvaldský Špičák, you can enjoy a modern detachable four-seater chairlift that stretches 1140 meters. It provides faster, quieter, and more comfortable rides to the slopes, which have also seen new snowmaking systems and better rental shops introduced this year.

Karolinka Ski Resort

In the Beskydy Mountains, the new cable cars at the Karolinka Ski Resort – a four-seat chairlift 740 meters long will greatly enhance the access to the slopes and family trails.

Ještěd Ski Resort

At the Ještěd Ski Resort, new technologies are improving the experience with new trail markers, maps, check-in systems, and upgraded catering services for a more enjoyable winter outing.

Managing water and snow: Czech mountains embrace tech and modern services

Today, winter means more than just skiing; it’s about experiences, beginning with purchasing ski passes. This season’s theme is new storage tanks. These tanks store water for creating artificial snow while conserving natural resources.

SkiResort Černá hora – Pec

Leader of Czech mountains, SkiResort Černá hora – Pec has completed a covered tank that can hold 15,000 cubic meters of water, which even includes roof parking for 70 cars. Additionally, many new snow cannons and poles have also been added to ensure the slopes can be snowed more quickly and effectively than ever.
At the upper station of the cable cars, visit the new Black Mountain Panorama park – a zone for children, beginners, and families featuring the widest covered roller coaster in the Czech Republic; at 150 meters long and an impressive 120 centimeters wide, it is the only one of its kind in the Czech Republic. With an investment surpassing 20 million crowns, Panorama park is now one of the most accessible learning environments in the nation.

Špindlerův Mlýn Ski Resort

At the Špindlerův Mlýn Ski Resort, efforts continue on connecting the slopes at Svatý Petr and Medvědín as well as extending the ski slopes. The Přehradní ski slope and a slope bridge across the Elbe are under final touches, and enhancements have also been made to the dining services.

Ski Resort Monínec

A unique snowmaking initiative continues in the Monínec Ski Resort utilizing Snowfactory technology – container-like units creating snow even in warmer temperatures. With the addition of four new modules, the entire 1.2 km slope will be snowed for the first time this year without depending on weather conditions.

Lipno Ski Resort

Family-friendly Lipno Ski Resort has increased the number of snowmaking features and altered the slopes’ layout to enhance snow distribution while minimizing water and energy use. At Lipno, an automatic purchasing system for ski passes has been implemented, alongside modern ticket dispensers and further upgrades to their online shop.

Rokytnice nad Jizerou Ski Resort

In the Rokytnice nad Jizerou ski resort, preparations are underway for a feeder from the new retention tank to the lower station of the cable car to Lysá hora. Additionally, improvements have been made to the ticket offices, a new patio has been constructed at bistro Dog in Dock, and they’ve added six new turret snow guns and two mobile Technoalpin units.

Dolní Morava Ski Resort

In Dolní Morava, the skiing facility has modernized water storage tanks for planned summer swimming activities and installed “snowplows” designed to retain snow even in the busier and more challenging areas. At the Dolní Morava mountain resort, you will also discover new turnstiles, updated evening sledding equipment, and improved dining options.

Mladé Buky Ski Resort

In Mladé Buky ski resort, there is a new boarding area, five additional snow machines, and the availability of online ski pass purchases.

For instance, the Klínovec ski resort has acquired a new powerful Pisten Bully PB600W snowmobile, complete with a SNOWSAT system and a LiDAR laser scanner. With precise snow depth measurement, this snow plow ensures optimum snow distribution, thus conserving energy and water.
The SnowSat system that tracks snow depth using satellite data is being expanded to more locations – resulting in not only a better ski surface but a more environmentally friendly operation.
