For couples, this might be a romantic getaway, while history enthusiasts will find it an incredible journey through time. Additionally, you can often enjoy themed packages that include candlelit meals, evening tours of the property, or the chance to taste the dining options of the castle.The most straightforward choice is to book one of the castle hotels that provide excellent stay packages filled with luxury, romance, and wellness. Three rooms and suites: the castles of Decin, Jemniště, and Nové Město nad Metují

In the historic castle of Decin, you can find a cozy apartment that accommodates four people along with a double room located in what used to be the auditorium of the Baroque riding hall. This bright apartment includes two bedrooms, a kitchen, and features a view of the lovely southern castle gardens and the main courtyard with its striking facade. The double room with a kitchenette overlooks the Tyrš House, the Gloriette in the Rose Garden, and the city of Děčín.

Unlike a typical hotel where you get your keys at a reception, in Nové Město nad Metuji you will receive the keys directly at the castle – that’s the charm of the three chateau suites available here. You can choose from two two-room suites and one single-room suite, all furnished with unique historical furniture. Two of the suites can accommodate an additional bed for two people, and the cost covers breakfast and a guided tour of the castle.

Three distinct apartments named Terezie, František, and Rainer can also be found in the Baroque castle Jemniště. The Terezie and František apartments are cozy romantic houses situated to the left and right of the entrance gate to the courtyard of honor. You will locate the Rainer apartment in the left wing of the castle. Here, too, you’ll encounter historical decorations and breakfast served in a basket delivered to your apartment.

Three suites at the castle in Litomyšl

There are three spacious apartments within the Litomyšl Castle grounds, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, that provide larger accommodations. You will be staying in the former chateau brewery, the birthplace of composer Bedřich Smetana, and you will truly enjoy the stunning view of the castle courtyard and the front of the castle with its intricate sgraffito designs. All apartments can accommodate up to four guests; the musical apartment named Bedřich Smetana, as well as the literary suite named after Alois Jirasek, feature historical décor, while the art-inspired apartment Olbram Zoubek boasts a modern aesthetic. All suites are found on the first and second floors and unfortunately, do not offer wheelchair access.

Overnight at Svojanov Castle

At Svojanov Castle, located a few kilometers away from Polička, there are a total of ten rooms – some of which have private bathrooms while others share facilities. You can stay in the former quarters of manor officials in the empire-style first-floor entrance building, in rooms furnished in a historicist style reflecting the late 19th and early 20th centuries, or in two simply furnished rooms located in the northeastern bastion that feature only bunk beds. The castle welcomes your well-mannered pet, specifically dogs.

Overnight at the castles in Třeboň and Dobříš

At Třeboň Castle, you need to decide between twenty-four rooms in the castle hostel or charming lodging in the Old Cathedral, a former defensive bastion that overlooks the castle park. The hostel rooms have shared bathrooms and kitchens available on each floor, while the medieval bastion rooms cater to more discerning guests. The Třeboň hostel operates from April to October.

Ten elegant double rooms and a special wedding suite are available at the hotel located in the north wing of the Rococo-style Dobříš Castle. Originally, these hotel spaces were part of the castle stables and were used for the long-term accommodation of Czech Literary Fund staff after World War II. Guests who stay at this hotel can access the fitness center for free.

Night at Karlštejn Castle near Svratka

The Karlštejn Rococo Chateau, situated in the village of the same name between Hlinsko and Polička, was built around 1770. The structure, which was built in the late Baroque style, replaced the original Chapel of St. Giles on the site and initially served the court of the Princely House of Kinský from Vchynic and Tetova. Until 1925, the area was surrounded by a deer park. The spacious chateau apartments for two to four people are positioned in the west and east wings, each with separate entrances from the Courtyard of Honor. Each apartment has its own bathroom and kitchenette. In the west and east wings, you can also find two to three-bedded castle rooms that have their own bathrooms. The main building of the castle features two additional apartments named after previous owners Kinsky and Thurn-Taxis.

A special spot to wait for: a night at Kost Castle

Nestled in the forested rocky valleys of Bohemian Paradise, Kost Castle stands hidden so effectively that even foes often failed to locate it. They provide lodging in a fully furnished apartment in the Turnov Gate section, which accommodates a maximum of four guests. Thus, your night in the castle will feel almost private. The apartment comes with its own kitchen, a stylish living area, and even includes a private garden within the castle grounds. Accommodation at the castle is offered during the summer tourist season, from April to October. However, in 2025 and 2026, the lodging will be closed due to renovation work on the castle.
