Experience the Vltava River Spa in Prague
Spa on a boat located on Rašín’s Embankment has been in business since 2009. This imaginative project was created by Vítek Šimek and Štěpán Řehoř from the H3T architects firm. You can enjoy a stunning view of Prague, a city with many high buildings, from the sauna on the ship’s deck, while holding a cold beer in your hand as the evening unfolds.
After enjoying the hot sauna, you can dive right into the cold waters of the Vltava River, or if you prefer, you can opt for an ice shower or a tub on the ship. The sauna has enough space for around 15 people, so bring your friends along or relax with colleagues after work. The spa includes changing rooms, and in the relaxation area, you’ll see fascinating pictures of old Prague—enough to make anyone feel dizzy. Or perhaps it’s the beer selection available on board that will spin your head. It’s a good idea to reserve your spot in advance before visiting.
An oasis of tranquility right in the heart of Prague can be found at Saunas Vltava, located at Podolský embankment. The herbal sauna has a different pleasant scent each day, while the Nordic sauna is infused with woody aromas. The outdoor ceremonial sauna comes equipped with advanced audio and lighting systems, perfect for theatrical sauna ceremonies and grand international events. Made from the wood of African Abachi willow, the African sauna tepidarium offers a cozy warmth. You can also enjoy a massage or come for events like Beauty Days and Herbal Evenings.
Next to the Yellow Baths along the banks of the Vltava River sits the Sauna World. Here at Sauna Spot Dvorce, you can find four Finnish saunas each offering different temperatures and levels of humidity, along with Athena private wellness options, cooling pools, relaxation areas, and a bar with an amazing view. The greatest feature here is the Ceremonial sauna, named after the Greek goddess of victory. The wall facing the Vltava River is made of floor-to-ceiling glass, giving you a one-of-a-kind view of the river, with its lush banks, Zlíchov, and Prague Semmering. The historic Vyšehrad fort looms in the background. The atmosphere here is truly special.
Located right in the heart of Prague, the multifunctional floating Kayak Beach Bar is docked near the tram stop Výtoň. It provides a unique vibe and a fantastic view of the illuminated Vyšehrad, Prague Castle, the industrial railway bridge, and the flowing Vltava River. The bar serves as an event space for everything from birthdays to team-building corporate activities. In the summer, it can accommodate up to 140 guests, while in the winter, when it is heated and covered, it holds about 90 people. Cultural activities, travel lectures, and movie screenings also take place here. The main attraction of this setting is the exclusive glass Finnish sauna, an outdoor private whirlpool, and a cooling pool right in the Vltava River.
Another unique private wellness spot is Sauna Smichov, located on Císařská louka. Two Finnish saunas made from Nordic spruce and a whirlpool with views of the river and Podolí await you! The bar features the finest drinks from the Moët Hennessy portfolio and also provides catering for private and corporate events. The sauna and whirlpool can accommodate up to six people.
