Your Must-Join Pre-Christmas Adventure to Merry Hill and Christmas Bethlehem!
From Saturday, November 29 to Sunday, December 7, 2025, the event known as Christmas at Merry Hill will take place. It will be open every day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. You can expect to see cottages decorated with historical gifts, festive treats being made, and demonstrations of traditional folk customs. On Sunday, December 7, 2025, there will be a special Pre-Christmas Fair.
You’ll discover interesting traditions, like what a special treat for the spinners looked like, the kinds of gifts children might have received from St. Nicholas over a hundred years ago, and what important dishes were typically served on Christmas Eve. Children will also enjoy special activities related to Advent, such as lead casting, making tiny boats from nutshells, and singing traditional carols.

Every day throughout the event, local folk producers will showcase how to create Christmas items. You can watch as they make ornaments and toys from natural materials, bead decorations, painted glass ornaments, mold-pressed gingerbread, and traditional baked goods, among other things. The weekends will feature an even more exciting cultural program.
