Experience Thrilling Skiing in Central Europe’s Purest Air

Karlova Studénka is well-known for its therapeutic springs, nutrient-rich peat, and pure air. Right above the village stands the tallest mountain in Jeseníky and Moravia – Praděd. This makes it a hub for sports activities throughout the year.
As winter approaches, it’s a great time to hit the slopes at the nearby ski resorts. Ski Karlov will be offering night skiing starting at 6 pm from December 1 through December 5, 2025. The Karlovsky Express lift as well as the Sunny and Catrak slopes will be ready for use. There are also plans for daytime skiing over the weekend. Prices for night skiing start at 523 crowns, while day skiing will be 808 crowns.
The Branná Ski Resort will become available for skiing again on the first weekend of December, opening on Friday, December 5, and remaining open continuously. This resort features a double chairlift and three different lifts. Both beginners and more advanced skiers will find suitable slopes here. Day passes are priced at 600 crowns, while evening passes cost 400 crowns.
Winter has also arrived in Kopřivná, where the ski season will kick off on Friday, December 5. They plan to be open for night skiing on Friday and daytime skiing through Sunday every week until Christmas, with full service for skiing set to resume from December 26. Prices begin at 323 crowns for night skiing and 561 crowns for daytime skiing.
In the heart of Karlova Studénka, you’ll find the Praděd Ski Arena, which hasn’t opened yet for the season. The slope here is 550 meters long and is marked as easy. There’s also a ski rental service and a ski school available on-site.
