Experience Winter’s Magic: The Erzgebirge Christmas Market in Loket
Join us to experience the charming atmosphere of Erzgebirge Christmas traditions as our ancestors knew them at the Erzgebirge Christmas Markets. This delightful event will be happening on December 13 and 14, 2025, in the town square of Loket and at the historic castle. Expect to enjoy various Christmas workshops, displays of traditional crafts, and engaging customs. A talented flute player will provide lively entertainment, and you’ll likely encounter angels gracefully walking on stilts.
For the little ones, we have enchanting fairy tales lined up in Fresco Hall. They can look forward to captivating shows like Káča a peklo, Mug, Boil!, Vánočka, and the charming story The Hedgehog and the Car Wash.
Throughout the entire weekend, there will be a dynamic program featuring choirs, folk groups, and various musical acts taking the stage. Among the performers are The Dyleň Karlovy Vary Song and Dance Ensemble, choirs like Chorea Nova, Chorus Egrensis, and the First Czech Gymnasium Karlovy Vary choir, in addition to the band Popo Trio. Enjoy Christmas melodies performed by Kateřina Bodláková and Tiny Gábner & Friends. The event will also feature a traditional live nativity scene and a delightful bell parade.
The markets will showcase a diverse array of handcrafted products, delicious treats, and festive Christmas specialties. On both days, expect a fantastic opening and closing ceremony to conclude the event.
