The exhibition in the castle gallery is open during weekdays from 9 am to 5 pm, and on weekends until 3 pm. As expected, you will find many truly unique products, and if any catch your eye, you can purchase it on the spot, whether as a gift or for yourself. There will also be installations in areas that are usually closed to the public. It’s become a tradition for the students to accompany the exhibition as well.

Christmas in the Times of Our Great-Grandmothers at Open-Air Museums

The Museum of Folk Buildings in Kourim will showcase Advent and Christmas exhibitions until 30 December 2025. During the Advent Sunday on December 21, 2025, guests will discover how previous generations prepared for the Christmas celebrations and the open-air museum will revive ancient customs and Advent figures! Joyful carols will be sung, featuring traditional Advent tunes performed by the joyful figures from folklore like Lucek and the feared Perchta. Adults and children will enjoy Christmas craft workshops, where hosts in historic buildings will share stories about the traditions surrounding Advent and Christmas.
