Eight Czech Restaurants Gain One MICHELIN Star

A total of eight Czech restaurants have been honored with one MICHELIN star, six of which have achieved this recognition for the very first time. Notably, we have the esteemed ESSENS in Hlohovec, located near Břeclav within the prestigious CHATEAU DE FRONTIER hotel, situated in the stunning UNESCO-listed Lednice-Valtice area. Other noteworthy recipients include the contemporary Entrée in Olomouc, which features an open kitchen and an innovative concept, alongside the stylish La Villa in Zlín, which specializes in a delightful mix of French and Czech dishes.

In the vibrant city of Prague, standout newcomers include LEVITATE, which artfully combines predominantly Czech ingredients with Asian flavors and Nordic influences; the exquisite Italian fine-dining venue Casa De Carli; and the sleek, modern establishment known as Štangl.

Additionally, the acclaimed Field and La Degustation Bohême Bourgeoise in Prague have successfully maintained their MICHELIN stars, reinforcing the city’s reputation as a culinary hotspot.

Gastronomy Tourism in Czechia: A Vibrant and Diverse Food Landscape

Czechia boasts a rich and diverse culinary landscape that beautifully melds traditional Czech flavors with influences from neighboring nations and global culinary trends. The country’s cuisine is celebrated for its hearty dishes crafted from locally sourced ingredients, which include wild game, fresh fish from local rivers and lakes, and seasonal produce such as vegetables and berries, all perfectly paired with world-renowned Czech beers and exceptional wines from innovative producers. 18 Bib Gourmand Restaurants in Czechia

The following establishments have retained their Michelin Bib Gourmand distinction—a recognition of exceptional value for money: Dejvická 34, Na Kopci, and The Eatery. Among the 15 new Bib Gourmand recipients are Šupina a Šupinka in Třeboň as well as Bar ATELIER & Bistro in Brno. Additionally noteworthy is Long Story Short Eatery & Bakery in Olomouc, a modern bistro focused on shared plates, MIURA nestled within the Čeladná golf course complex, and Výčep in Prague.

A total of 52 additional restaurants in Czechia are now included in the Michelin selection. For those who love Italian cuisine, options such as Aromi, CottoCrudo, and La Finestra in Cucina await. If you’re in the mood for traditional Czech fare, be sure to visit Bockem or Café Imperial. The distinguished steakhouse Monarch has also been acknowledged, while French and Mediterranean cuisine can be savored at establishments like La Veranda and Pot au Feu. For fans of modern gastronomy, there are places like Benjamin, Grand Cru,Portfolio, Salabka, and V Zátiší. Rounding out the selection are QQ Asian Kitchen and Taro, both focused on Asian cuisine, along with Yamato, a delightful Japanese restaurant.
