Experience the Magic of Christmas Eve at Zoo Děčín—Enjoy Free Admission!
On Christmas Day, the zoo is offering visitors a special gift of free entry to the zoo.
It’s become a lovely tradition for visitors at Děčín Zoo on this special day to bring all kinds of treats for the animals. The best items to bring include dry bread, veggies, fruits, grains, nuts, and biscuits. You can even bring canned food for dogs or cats. However, please remember that the treats must not be given directly to the animals. Instead, they should be placed in wooden crates located near the ticket office. Afterward, the caretakers will distribute the treats fairly among the animals.
Christmas Eve at Zoo Děčín is a beloved event that families with children enjoy to pass the time until Santa Claus arrives. The zoo will be open that day from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm, but the Paradise Islands exhibition will not be accessible on this day. The zoo is also offering free admission on New Year’s Day, 1st January 2026. While visiting during Advent, guests can experience the zoo beautifully illuminated with Christmas lights, decorated Christmas trees, and a nativity scene. There is also a special letterbox for children to drop off their secret letters to Santa until Christmas Eve.
