Experience the Magic of Winter: Karlštejn Castle Welcomes Visitors Friday to Sunday


The Karlštejn Castle is currently open from Friday to Sunday, welcoming visitors between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. This weekend schedule will remain in effect throughout February at this renowned castle.During the winter season, guests can explore the basic tour of the historic interiors of the Imperial Palace. This includes the private and ceremonial rooms once used by Emperor Charles IV. In the treasury, visitors will view replicas of the Czech St. Wenceslas Crown and the Imperial Crown, along with the Karlštejn treasure, which features about 40 items that were once part of the castle chapel and were used in church ceremonies.

The admission cost is CZK 300 for adults, CZK 90 for children, and CZK 240 for young people and seniors. This fee also covers free access to the Well Tower, which holds a 78-meter deep castle well featuring a unique, preserved water extraction system. There’s no need to make a reservation for the tour unless you’re bringing a group of more than 10 people.
