Linden Tree Avenue at Lemberk Castle Crowned Avenue of the Year 2025

The winner of the 15th annual contest called Avenue of the Year 2025 is the Lemberk Linden Tree Avenue, located at Lemberk Castle in the Liberec Region. This avenue was nominated by a local resident named Jana Kučerová from Bílina, in the Teplice region, who is a working retiree. She has a passion for photography and painting and visited the avenue to create a painting. She was so taken with the beauty of the avenue that she decided to enter it in the competition. As a result of the Lemberk avenue’s victory, she will receive a balloon flight as a prize.

The lime tree avenue is a special place where history, nature and quiet human stories come together. There are impressive lime trees, a peaceful countryside atmosphere, and a spring that attracts visitors with its famous water.

Furthermore, the organizers will hold an Avenue Festival at the winning location. The Avenue of the Year poll is run by the Arnika association. The aim of this poll is to raise awareness about how important trees are in our environment. Tree-lined avenues offer us beautiful spaces to walk and unwind. They contribute to a healthy and vibrant landscape and can inspire our outings.
