Discover the Enchanting European Castle and Chateau Trail: A Must-Visit for History Enthusiasts in the Czech Republic and Poland

Eastern Bohemia is notable for its remarkable number of castles and chateaux. To highlight this, the Destination Company Eastern Bohemia, along with partners from the Orlické Mountains and Podorlicko tourist areas, teamed up with the Lower Silesian Tourist Organisation to establish the European Trail of Castles and Chateaux. This trail aims to showcase to fans of historical sites the most stunning castles and chateaux found in the Pardubice and Hradec Králové regions, spanning both sides of the border.

Currently, about 80 historical locations in both the Czech Republic and Poland are part of the European Trail of Castles and Chateaux. This initiative connects the various heritage sites and highlights their specific features and diverse experiences, supplemented by accompanying services like accommodation and dining options. With its expansion into additional areas, the trail now provides a wide-ranging and holistic array of attractions, specifically in the Czech Republic, covering the Pardubice, Hradec Králové, and Olomouc regions, as well as the Lower Silesia and Opole provinces in Poland.
