Discover the Allure of Czech Wines: Fifteen Wineries Making Waves in Central Paris!

Exciting Line-Up and Clear Goals
A collaborative presentation was created by the CzechTourism Foreign Representation in Paris, alongside the City of Brno, the South Moravian Region, the National Wine Centre, CzechTrade, and the Ministry of Agriculture. Their unified goal is to enhance the visibility of Czech and Moravian wine on an esteemed international platform and to open up new business and media avenues for winemakers.

Over a hundred guests attended the event, including wine professionals, representatives from Paris City Hall, the Michelin Guide, buyers, journalists, and travel agencies. This diverse gathering added a strategic depth to the evening.

The winemakers showcased a broad selection of current productions, ranging from fresh white varieties to rich red wines. The tasting was led by renowned oenologist Klára Kollárová, who contextualized each sample within the traditions and present trends. Guests were introduced not only to specific brands but also to the gastronomic and touristic potential of South Moravia and other regions of Czechia.

Wines were served in elegant glasses from Květná 1794, one of the oldest Czech glass manufacturers, highlighting a commitment to quality and craftsmanship.

Brno and South Moravia Take Center Stage
The program featured a presentation about Brno and South Moravia, led by Martina Pospíšilová from the local marketing and tourism office. She portrayed the region as a vibrant destination merging wine, gastronomy, architecture, and culture. Guests were also treated to chocolate from a local Brno factory, inspiring them to explore the region further.

„We are thrilled with the large turnout and the chance to present the rich Czech wine tradition, Moravian hospitality, and diverse cuisine. Together, we showcased the best of Czechia to an international audience in the heart of Paris,” stated Markéta Dianová, Director of the Foreign Representation of CzechTourism in Paris.

The evening in Paris affirmed that Czech and Moravian wines are securing a stronger foothold on the international stage. The blend of quality wines, robust regions, and professional presentations can effectively represent Czechia, even in the heart of the world’s winemaking culture.
