Discover Adolf Loos’ Winternitz Villa in Prague: We invite you to fascinating guided tours

Winternitzova vila is a cultural monument located in Smíchov, designed by architect Adolf Loos and Karel Lhota (who created all the interior elements). This three-story house was built between 1931 and 1932 for lawyer Josef Winternitz, whose family lived there until 1941. Sadly, the construction client, along with other members of the Winternitz family, lost their lives in a concentration camp during World War II.
Guided tours of the villa offer the perfect opportunity to experience and explore the story of the villa and the fate of its original owners. Their descendants opened the villa to the public, honoring the family’s memory while also transforming the space into a cultural center named Malvazinek, which features an array of activities (such as theater performances, art history courses, concerts, and more). During your visit, you will learn about the work of Adolf Loos and his creative principles, as well as numerous personal anecdotes from the family’s history.
You can visit Winternitzova vila as part of the sights covered by a Prague Visitor Pass, allowing you free entry or a 30% discount on guided tours. To make a reservation, you can contact them via email at [email protected] or call them at 774 440 240
