The Flower Garden in Kroměříž is opening its camellia exhibition this weekend

At the exhibition in the Palm Greenhouse, visitors can see dozens of rare camellias that are over a hundred years old and are currently in full bloom. Camellias began to be cultivated in the Flower Garden in Kroměříž in the second half of the 19th century, and in the 20th century they became one of the most attractive features of the garden. At that time, the collection contained several dozen beautiful mature plants of various varieties.
This
year’s theme at the National Heritage Institute’s monuments is “The Nobility on the Road,” and this year’s exhibition title reflects this: Camellias & Fragile Beauty on the Road. The exhibition is open from 14 February to 8 March 2026, every day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and is included in the regular admission price. Adults pay CZK 180, children CZK 50, and young people and seniors CZK 140. Guided tours take place on Wednesdays at 2 p.m. and on Sundays at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Come and be amazed by the beauty of camellias during the winter and early spring.
