The markets on Jiřího z Poděbrad Square will start this year on 11 March and will offer a wide selection of quality smoked meats from small artisans, sourdough bread, local bakery products, fresh cheeses, butter, fish, meat, honey and even ceramics and handmade products related to gastronomy. There is also a wide selection of pickled vegetables, jams and other preserves, as well as apple, pear and cherry chips. Herbal syrups are also available to promote good health. They sell their products in 100% biodegradable bags made from corn starch. These bags do not harm the environment and do not increase the amount of waste. Plastic cups are replaced by bio cups and returnable cups that can be reused. A great way to reduce plastic use is to bring your own shopping baskets or canvas bags.
