Discover February’s Hidden Gem: Explore One of the Oldest and Most Iconic Castles

Křivoklát CastleKřivoklát Castle is welcoming visitors every Saturday and Sunday in February at 3 p.m. for a tour of the Gothic Palace. This tour includes a visit to the castle’s second courtyard, the Silver Chamber, the prison of Augustus, various sections of the prison, and the dungeon. Additionally, guests will see the chapel, along with both the small (Knights’) and large (Royal) halls, as well as the stables of the castle.

For those interested in a more in-depth experience, there are extended tours of the Castle Palaces offered several times a day. These tours not only cover the previously mentioned locations but also take visitors to the library, the picture gallery, rooms dedicated to Philippine Welser, and the Fürstenberg Museum.

Admission for the Gothic Palace is set at CZK 260 for adults, CZK 210 for seniors and students, and CZK 80 for children. The fee for the Castle Palace is CZK 300, while seniors and students pay CZK 240 and children are charged CZK 90. For groups that pre-book, the castle is available for tours every day, even on Mondays, as long as there are at least 10 paying visitors for each tour.

Visitors can enhance their castle experience by taking a stroll along four designated walking trails that lead to the most breathtaking views of Křivoklát, including the lovely Paraplíčko viewpoint. These trails also guide you through intriguing spots around the area, such as the Brdatka nature trail.
