Explore 2026 Holiday Trends and Discover Czechia’s Rise as a Culinary Powerhouse at HOLIDAY WORLD & REGION WORLD!

This year, the March fair introduces an enticing new feature: the Taste Travel food festival. Gastronomy will take center stage, especially since Czechia was recognized as a culinary powerhouse at the end of last year with the release of the first-ever MICHELIN Guide to Czechia.
“This historic moment will be highlighted at the HOLIDAY WORLD & REGION WORLD fair, where we will debut the Taste of Travel food festival as part of the programme. Visitors will have the chance to sample traditional cuisines from various countries and tourist destinations,” says Michaela Volná, head of the fair team.
“Czechia is increasingly establishing itself as a destination that blends tradition, local ingredients, and a modern approach to gastronomy. The publication of the first-ever MICHELIN Guide to Czechia has placed us among the 16 most intriguing culinary destinations globally. Recognition from other authorities like Gault&Millau and TopLife Czech further underscores the rising quality of our domestic cuisine, indicating that premier gastronomy is thriving throughout Czechia. The CzechSpecials project is also vital, merging traditional Czech recipes with modern concepts, helping visitors explore the authentic flavors of our regions. Hence, it’s only natural that gastronomy is the dominant theme for this year’s HOLIDAY WORLD & REGION WORLD, reflecting current tourism trends,” adds František Reismüller, Director of the Czech Tourist Authority – CzechTourism.
Exhibitors will provide visitors with enriching tourist experiences, a diverse portfolio of products from travel agencies and tour operators, a vibrant accompanying programme, and opportunities to meet fascinating personalities from Czechia and around the world. In collaboration with the Czech Tourist Board, there will be an engaging meeting focused on the relationship between gastronomy and tourism. The expert programme will include lectures and panel discussions on the first day of the fair, titled “Gastro under the magnifying glass: When gastronomy creates a travel experience.”
The partner country for this fair is Montenegro. It will showcase its natural and cultural wonders to travel enthusiasts and experts at a national workshop. This increasingly popular destination offers a mix of experiences, from seaside holidays to adrenaline-filled activities. Attendees can also explore booths representing destinations such as Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, Thailand, Peru, Tunisia, Egypt, India, Japan, Ecuador, Indonesia, and many others.
Unique coincidence
If you’re interested in cycling or sports, take advantage of a combined admission fee to visit the concurrent FOR BIKES fair and SPORT EXPO festival on March 13 and 14. Additionally, the AROUND THE WORLD festival will also take place at PVA EXPO PRAGUE on March 14 and 15.
The HOLIDAY WORLD & REGION WORLD fair will also announce the Region of My Heart poll, where voters can choose the most popular region in Czechia. This poll is organized by the editorial team of the portal Kam v Česku, in collaboration with ABF, a.s., under the auspices of the Association of Regions of Czechia.
