Get Ready: Leo Express Set to Launch the Exciting Warsaw-Krakow Route!

Leo Express is all set to launch its new rail line, with both technical preparations and staff in place. Early demand has been strong, as the carrier reports over 100,000 tickets sold in Poland. On certain dates, trains are already sold out, highlighting the public interest in this new route and the excellent services offered. Leo Express eagerly awaits all passengers ready to use the new line as soon as it opens.

“The new Warsaw – Krakow line is another important milestone in our long-term growth in Poland, and it demonstrates that modern rail travel has a bright future in the region. We encourage Polish travelers to experience our services. We have an enticing offer for everyone—whether you’re a business traveler seeking the comfort of our Business and Premium classes, families looking for easy boarding and a kid-friendly area, or tourists aiming for great value on trips to Prague. Promotional prices for early purchases, the Smile Club loyalty program, and regular special offers make traveling with us accessible for all,” states Peter Köhler, CEO of Leo Express.

Comfortable travel not only in Poland

Leo Express has been making its mark in Poland since 2018, becoming the first private rail operator to provide services from Czechia to Krakow. This opened the Polish rail market to additional private carriers. Passengers can enjoy a high level of travel comfort, including fast 5G Wi-Fi, a diverse menu featuring traditional Polish soup źurek for 6 zlotys, popular Czech fried cheese, and Asian dishes. Helpful on-board staff deliver meals right to your seat. For those needing extra comfort, the Premium Sleeper class offers adjustable seating that can transform into a sleeping position, ideal for relaxing during the journey.

“This new rail connection between Poland and Czechia is crucial for fostering inbound tourism. Poland has been a key market for us, and these new lines will enhance access to various domestic regions. It aligns with the growing trend of sustainable mobility across Europe. I believe Leo Express will attract more customers, demonstrating that rail travel can be not only environmentally friendly but also a comfortable, fast, and affordable alternative to personal transportation. Interest from Polish tourists in traveling by train and visiting Czechia is on the rise. Current data shows a 14% increase in overnight stays by Polish tourists in Czechia last year, underscoring the potential of this new connection on both sides of the border,” adds František Reismüller, Director of the Czech Tourist Authority – CzechTourism.
