You don’t need to wander around the countryside lost, trying to decide which paths to take and which to avoid, since the route is already laid out and the entry fee is very affordable. Being surrounded by other participants encourages you to reach the finish line. While walking, you’ll encounter interesting folks and have the chance for a conversation. If you’re not a fan of socializing, you can still compare your performance with others. Plus, you’ll get to see and uncover stunning locations that you might never have noticed before or only briefly glimpsed while driving. In short, walking offers a fresh perspective on experiencing nature. So grab your walking poles and sturdy shoes and take a stroll in the countryside!
A spring filled with walks
Here’s another benefit: on the Kudy z nudy website, we’ve got everything planned for you, and our calendar of events certainly includes plenty of walks. There’s nothing quite like stretching your legs on a delightful outing at the start of spring.
This coming Saturday, 4 April, we invite you to join the oldest walk, Bezručova Moravice 2026. The routes we have prepared are great for both walkers and cyclists, and you can select from different distances. The hike up to Mědník for an Easter egg will be happening on 5 April in 2026, in line with the early Easter date. On Saturday, 11 April, you can participate in the Central Bohemian 60, which begins and wraps up in Mníšek pod Brdy this year. From the various routes available, which range from 9 to 60 km, you can opt for a relaxed walk or a more challenging long hike! On the same day, an additional hiking opportunity is available in Bohemian Paradise. The day after, 12 April, marks the beginning of the hiking season in the Moravian Karst, where you can tackle the trails starting from Blansko and Boskovice.
The long-distance walking event, Ústecká jarní padesátka, will occur on Saturday, 18 April, taking you through the lovely Czech Central Mountains. This year celebrates the 60th edition. As a special reward, you’ll receive a beautiful panoramic view in addition to an Easter egg. That same day offers the Koberovské šlápoty walk. Then, the following week on 25 April, you can set off on the Žberácký vandr, which will guide you through the Křivoklát area, passing the castles of Žebrák and Točník. On the same date, the Canadian Wanderer event is also happening, featuring paths that lead to the Renaissance Slavonic, The Baron Ringhoffer Country Walk, or The Land of Ponds.
On Friday, 1 May , you can embark on the ‘Under the Tisá Birches’ walk, which is now in its 34th year On Saturday, 2 May, the Lužická Padesátka walk is set to take place, or possibly the 13th annual Karlštejnská tlapička, which travels from Karlštejn. This walk is organized by KČT Trilobit Barrandov and will lead you through the beautiful terrain of the Bohemian Karst. Enjoy the Bohemian Karst at the fifty-first edition of the Spring in the Bohemian Karst walk on Saturday, 9 May. On the same day, there’s also the ‘Across Three Castles’ walk.
The most recognized walk
Fans of long-distance hiking are likely familiar with it, while others may have some ideas: consider the 70 km path that starts in Prague-Háje along with numerous shorter routes from places such as Týnec nad Sázavou, Pikovice, Čerčany, Tábor, Mladé Vožice, Sedlčany, Milevsko, or Benešov, not to mention a special 23 km trek designed for children starting from Votice, and a wheelchair-accessible route commencing from Miličín. And, of course, there are routes for cyclists too. The finish line for everyone is in Prčice under the shared banner of the Prague–Prčice Walk, which will happen this year on Saturday, 16 May. Just a heads up! Make sure to register online ahead of time for the route you choose on the event’s website! Registration is open from 1 to 14 May 2026, with this year’s entry fee set to be 59 CZK.
However, not everyone will be heading to this event; the competition from this popular gathering hasn’t stopped other organizers. On the same weekend, we invite you to The Northern Trail – an international walking event taking place in the Šluknov Hook, which is the northernmost part of the Czech Republic. The route showcases many lovely trails with plenty of points of interest; specifically, the Tanečnice Lookout Tower provides a variety of stunning views of the surrounding area. On Saturday, 16 May, the town of Přerov in Central Moravia will offer the ‘Za přerovským zubrem’ hiking walk and a cycling tour around the Přerov region. Additionally, the day features events organized by Rokycany Walks and the 11th edition of the SKP Police Walk – Through the Lachian Gate.
The 48th edition of the Quest for Loštice Tvarůžky is scheduled for 30 May. Walkers and cyclists can choose from routes of different lengths, and at the end, you’ll enjoy a light snack with Tvarůžky cheese waiting for you.
Walks in June and throughout the summer
Make the most of the beautiful June climate and join the Krakonoš’s Hundred walk. If you’re feeling up to the complete 100 km, you’ll start on the evening of Friday, 19 June. The shorter routes of 50 km and 25 km, as well as a 25 km mountain long-distance run, will start on the morning of Saturday, 20 June. On that same day, you can be a part of the Stone Beetle Memorial walk around Hořovice, or on the opposite side of the country, take part in the 49th annual hiking walk and 28th annual cycle tour Konice Trails and Cycling Around Konice.
On Saturday, 1 August, you have an opportunity to take a nostalgic journey back in time on the walk Where the Tramps Walked, or Let’s Meet in Pikovice. This event is organized by KČT Trilobit Barrandov, which also has another trip planned for the end of August. On Saturday, 29 August, they are setting up a hike called Four Rivers with Trilobit. The distance will vary, and the goal is to reach Svatojánské proudy.
Through nature in autumn colours
Although the holiday season is coming to an end, September remains beautiful, and the journeys continue. A special event especially for children is set for Saturday, 12 September: the Fairytale Trail – Porta Bohemica. This route, just under 3 km long, meanders through Bertino Valley, with a tree-lined path along Eliška Krásnohorská Street and Republic Park, and is filled with fairy-tale characters and fun activities.
The Beskydy Mountains and foothills will be explored during the Štramberk Jasoň walk on Saturday, 19 September. Active walkers of all skill levels can choose from routes that span from 6 to 46 km. The Jasoň event also features a race called Jasoň50, which can be completed by walking or running.
On Saturday, 17 October, the Kol dokola Kostomlat hike will treat participants to the pleasant scenery of the Polabí region. Then on Saturday, 31 October, you can enjoy the vibrant autumn leaves along the path from Braník to Slivenec in the walk With Trilobit to Holyně without wellies.
