Last chance to visit the Royal Summer Palace

In a rare opportunity, the Renaissance Royal Summer Palace found in the Royal Garden, also called Belvedere, will open its doors. This building, constructed in the 16th century by Ferdinand I of Habsburg for his wife, will be available to visitors only on Saturday, 18 April 2026, during an open day, from 10:00 to 18:00 (with the last admission at 5:30 pm). This will be the final chance this year to see this historical site before a planned renovation that is set to begin in May.

Additionally, all the gardens will be open, and guests will have the chance to visit selected state rooms in the New Royal Palace. An entry fee will only be collected for visits to the Great South Tower of St. Vitus Cathedral and the Prague Castle Riding Hall.

At the Prague Castle Riding Hall, there is currently an exhibition running until June 2026 called Fragments of Memory: The St Vitus Treasure in the Mirror of Contemporary Art. This exhibit showcases modern artworks as well as historical items collected over many years.
