Discover the Bohumín Bospor Complex: Your Ideal Summer Playground

After the winter break, visitors who want to mix exercise with enjoyment and test their abilities will be greeted again by the golf course that has 18 holes. If the weather allows, it will be open every day from 9 am to 7 pm. The same hours apply to the nearby beach volleyball facilities, which were completely renovated last year. The area also includes a restaurant, along with facilities for petanque and Russian skittles.
Starting in April, families with kids can explore Mowgli’s Maze located on Janáčkova Street, designed with 1,300 trees. Although the maze could technically be open throughout the year, there is a reason for the winter closure. During winter, the hornbeam leaves are dry, affecting the maze’s visual appeal. Additionally, the trees take a break during this season to regain energy for new growth in spring. Entry to the maze is free of charge.
Other leisure activities offered by Bospor include the all-year-round Mowgli Trail and Mowgli Ranch, where various animals like sheep, goats, peacocks, llamas, and poultry are cared for. This year marks the tenth anniversary of the animal area. The animal farm also features a petting section that is open from April to September. In the future, Cameroonian sheep might join the popular Wallachian sheep. These original residents had some difficulties getting along with the goats, but separate enclosures are planned to resolve this conflict.
The Bohumínský Mowgli’s Trail provides Hobbyparku fun for school-aged children and people of all ages, featuring attractions for both young kids and adults. The trail is appropriate for children three years old and above, extending to adults aged up to 99 years. Visitors will discover six towering structures that reach eight meters high, shaped like the number eight. These are central to the entire rope course experience. The trail, made from acacia wood, also includes a plastic slide and a toboggan. Participants will navigate through obstacles, crawl spaces between levels, and encounter punching bags along the rope courses. There is no entrance fee. Parents can relax on benches while observing their children from the ground or can join in the fun by completing the course alongside them. Thanks to the many safety nets in place, the trail is highly safe.
Bospor also oversees various large sports complexes in the city, operating two sports halls, tennis courts, and an aqua center. The water park, featuring a sauna area, is by far the most popular attraction.
