Discover the Beauty of Czech Nature: Explore the Natural Wonders of Prague Castle

Czech Nature Photo highlights and reviews top wildlife photographs taken by photographers from the Czech Republic and Slovakia. This year’s anniversary edition features entries from 249 photographers, who submitted a total of 2,020 photographs. The tenth edition of the Czech Nature Photo exhibition is taking place this year at the renowned Theresian Wing of Prague Castle, organized in collaboration with Czech Photo and the Prague Castle Administration. The exhibition showcases all award-winning images and other selected artworks. There’s also a special section dedicated to photographs captured by young artists from primary and secondary schools. It’s important to mention that this exhibition is supported by the personal patronage of Mrs Eva Pavlová, the wife of the President, as well as the patronage of Jana Komrsková, the Deputy Mayor of Prague.
The photograph of the year for Czech Nature Photo 2026 is the piece titled Evolution by photographer Petr Bambousek. Additionally, the exhibition shows a curated selection of the finest photographs from all 13 competition categories, which include images of animals, stunning landscapes, and captivating documentary series. Visitors can explore different continents and seasons through various styles, from intricate macro shots of insects to challenging underwater photography. The exhibition also features two new segments: award-winning images in the Creative Vision category and those that have received the special ‘Canon Water Conservation’ prize.
The exhibition offers a supporting program, primarily consisting of guided tours scheduled for 26 May, 30 May, 16 June, and 8 September. On Saturday, 30 May, in addition to the guided tour, a special ‘Day with Czech Nature Photo’ will take place, featuring six presentations by talented photographers. Furthermore, on 16 July, Michal Krause and Tomáš Telenský will lead visitors on a walk through Jelením příkopem, accompanied by a photographer and ornithologists.
Open every day from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Regular admission to the exhibition is 160 CZK (concessions available for 80 CZK and family tickets priced at 320 CZK). Visitors can access the Theresian Wing of the Old Royal Palace through the South Gardens and from the Third Courtyard using the Bull Staircase.
