On Saturday, May 30, 2026, the next event known as Prague Children’s Transport Day is scheduled to happen at Prague-Braník railway station. This event will run almost all day, from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM, offering a variety of fun activities not just on the train tracks. The program will include special train rides and nostalgic trips on historic buses. The most exciting part will be the rides on the historic train. However, due to a severe drought, the steam locomotive will be replaced with a diesel engine this time. The trains will travel to the Praha-Zbraslav stop, with the final train directing itself to Vrané nad Vltavou. The train will leave at 9:26, 10:26, 11:26, 13:26, 14:26, 15:26, and 16:33. A round trip will cost 150 CZK from Braník to Zbraslav and back. There will also be a unique opportunity for rides on a motor car, which will begin six sightseeing tours around Prague along these routes: Braník – Zahradní Město – Vršovice – Braník and the final tour from Braník – Zahradní Město – Vršovice, Braník – Radotín – Smíchov – Vršovice – Braník. Additionally, you can look forward to the chance to ride on a hand-cranked draisine.historic bus
For those who are more inclined towards buses, there will be six special buses operating on three designated routes. Historic buses will provide free rides starting from the regular Braník Station stop on Pikovická Street and heading towards Smíchov Station.

The craft workshops will be available for creative children, alongside a bouncy castle and live demonstrations by an artistic blacksmith. There will also be various stalls managed by event partners, as well as booths selling transport-themed items. Visitors can enjoy refreshments served in style this time inside a dining car.

We kindly ask all visitors to prioritize their personal safety while moving around the train tracks and exploring the vehicles on display.
